Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc.; Notice of Refund 
Report

December 23, 1997.
    Take notice that on December 15, 1997, Consolidated Edison Company 
of New York, Inc. (Con Edison), tendered for filing with the 
Commission, its Refund Report made in compliance with the Commission's 
Order issued December 3, 1997, in the above referenced docket.
    Con Edison states that no refund is due to PECO Energy Company or 
Sonat Power Marketing, L.P.
    Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, 
in accordance with Rules 211 and 214 of the Commission's Rules of 
Practice and Procedure (18 CFR 385.211 and 18 CFR 385.214). All such 
protests should be filed on or before January 5, 1998. Protests will be 
considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to 
be taken, but will not serve to make the protestants parties to the 
proceeding. Copies of the filing are on file with the Commission and 
are available for public inspection.
