Notice Pursuant to the National Cooperative Research and
Production Act of 1993; High Throughput Hole Making Joint Venture
Notice is hereby given that, on November 12, 1996, pursuant to
Section 6(a) of the National Cooperative Research and Production Act of
1993, 15 U.S.C. Sec. 4301 et seq. (``the Act''), written notifications
were filed simultaneously with the Attorney General and the Federal
Trade Commission disclosing (1) the formation of a technology-specific
joint venture (2) the identifies of the parties to the venture, and (3)
the nature and objective of the venture. The notifications were filed
for the purpose of invoking the Act's provisions limiting recovery of
plaintiffs to actual damages under specified circumstances. Pursuant to
Section 6(b) of the Act, the identities to the parties are Briney
Tooling System, Bad Axe, MI; Chrysler Corporation, Auburn Hills, MI;
CJT/Koolcarb, Addision, IL; Command Tooling System, Ramsey, MN; Ford
Motor Company, Dearborn, MI; General Motors Corporation, Warren, MI;
Greenfield Industries, Evans, GA; Ingersoll Cutting Tools, Rockford,
IL; Kennametal, Inc., Latrobe, PA; Lyndex Corporation, Northbrook, IL;
Multi Arc, Rockaway, NJ; Parlec, Inc., Fairport, NY; and Unison
Corporation, Ferndale, MI.
Technologies Research Corporation, Ann Arbor, MI, has been engaged
to administer the joint venture on behalf of the participants. The
nature and objective of the venture is to undertake development
activities focusing on high throughput hole making.
