Notice Pursuant to the National Cooperative Research and
Production Act of 1993--Low Cost Flip Chip Consortium
Notice is hereby given that, on August 30, 1995, pursuant to
Section 6(a) of the National Cooperative Research and Production Act of
1993, 15 U.S.C. 4301 et seq. (``the Act''), the Low Cost Flip Chip
Consortium has filed written notifications simultaneously with the
Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission disclosing (1) the
identities of the parties and (2) the nature and objectives of the
Consortium. The notifications were filed for the purpose of invoking
the Act's provisions limiting the recovery of antitrust plaintiffs to
actual damages under specified circumstances. Pursuant to Section 6(b)
of the Act, the identities of the parties are: National Semiconductor
Corporation, Santa Clara, CA; Aptos Corporation, Milpitas, CA; Delco
Electronics Corporation, Kokomo, IN; Hughes Missile Systems Company,
Tucson, AZ; Jabil Circuit, Inc., San Jose, CA; Litronic Industries,
Costa Mesa, CA; Sheldahl, Inc., Northfield, MN; and SunDisk
Corporation, Santa Clara, CA.

The purpose of the Consortium is to advance the technology and
enhance the United States production capabilities of the flip-chip
Direct Chip Attach assembly for integrated microcircuits with the goal
of promoting both military and commercial customers to employ flip-chip
assembled integrated circuits in a wide variety of applications.
