    Burlington Northern Railroad Company--Abandonment Exemption--in 
    Washington County, OR
    
    AGENCY: Interstate Commerce Commission.
    
    ACTION: Notice of Exemption.

    SUMMARY: The Commission exempts from the prior approval requirements of 
    49 U.S.C. 10903-10904 the abandonment by Burlington Northern Railroad 
    Company of 5.01 miles of railroad line between Merle (milepost 21.09) 
    and the General Motors Spur near Murray Boulevard in Beaverton 
    (milepost 26.10), in Washington County, OR, subject to standard labor 
    protective conditions and an historic preservation condition.
    
    DATES: Provided no formal expression of intent to file an offer of 
    financial assistance (OFA) has been received, this exemption will be 
    effective on December 22, 1994. Formal expressions of intent to file an 
    OFA under 49 CFR 1152.27(c)(2)1, petitions to stay, requests for a 
    public use condition conforming to 49 CFR 1152.28(a)(2), and petitions 
    to reopen must be filed by December 19, 1994.
