    A.O. Smith Electrical Products Co., Upper Sandusky, OH;
    Termination of Investigation

        Pursuant to section 221 of the Trade Act of 1974, an investigation
    was initiated on January 18, 1994 in response to a worker petition
    which was filed on January 5, 1994 on behalf of workers at A.O. Smith
    Electrical Products Company, Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
        An active certification covering the petitioning group of workers
    remains in effect (TA-W-26, 762). Consequently, further investigation
    in this case would serve no purpose, and the investigation has been
    terminated.
        Workers who are laid off prior to March 24, 1994 will be eligible
    for benefit under the existing certification. Workers at the subject
    firm who are laid off after that date are encouraged to resubmit a
    petition to apply for trade adjustment assistance benefits.

        Signed at Washington, DC this 31st day of January, 1994.
    Marvin M. Fooks,
    Director, Office of Trade Adjustment Assistance.
