    Legal Description for the Lechuguilla Cave Protection Area; New 
    Mexico
    
    AGENCY: Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Interior.
    
    ACTION: Notice.

    SUMMARY: On December 2, 1993, Public Law (PL) 103-169, the Lechuguilla 
    Cave Protection Act of 1993 was signed into law. Section 3(c) of Public 
    Law 103-169 requires the Secretary of the Interior to publish in the 
    Federal Register a notice containing a legal description of the Area. 
    This notice contains that legal description.

    SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Pursuant to section 3(c) of Public Law 103-
    169 the following described lands within the Lechuguilla Cave 
    Protection Area are withdrawn from all forms of entry, appropriation, 
    or disposal under the United States mining laws; and from disposition 
    under all laws pertaining to mineral and geothermal leasing, and all 
    amendments thereto:

        Sec. 25.
    T. 24 S., R. 24E.,
        Sec. 14, S\1/2\;
        Sec. 15, S\1/2\;
        Sec. 19, lots 1 to 4, inclusive, NE\1/4\, E\1/2\W\1/2\, and 
    (SE\1/4\ minerals only, private surface);
        Sec. 20, NW\1/4\NE\1/4\, W\1/2\NW\1/4\, SE\1/4\ and (SW\1/4\ 
    minerals only, private surface);
        Sec. 21, E\1/2\, S\1/2\NW\1/4\, and SW\1/4\;
        Sec. 22, 23, and 24;
        Sec. 30, lots 1 to 4, inclusive, E\1/2\, and E\1/2\W\1/2\.
    T. 24 S., R. 25 E.,
        Sec. 19, lots 1, 2, N\1/2\NE\1/4\, and E\1/2\NW\1/4\;
        Sec. 20, NW\1/4\NW\1/4\ and N\1/2\S\1/2\;

        The area described contains 6,270.80 acres, more or less, in 
    Eddy County, New Mexico.
