Comprehensive Assessment Information Rule; Proposed Amendments;
Extension of Comment Period
AGENCY: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
ACTION: Extension of comment period.

SUMMARY: EPA is extending the comment period for the proposed
amendments to the Comprehensive Assessment Information Rule (CAIR),
issued under section 8(a) of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA),
and published in the Federal Register of November 30, 1993.
DATES: Written comments on the proposed rule must be submitted to EPA
by March 17, 1994.
ADDRESSES: Since some comments may contain confidential business
information (CBI), all comments must be sent in triplicate to: TSCA
Information Office (7407), Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics,
Environmental Protection Agency, Rm. E-G99, 401 M St., SW., Washington,
DC 20460.
Comments should include the docket control number OPPTS-82013I.
Nonconfidential comments on the proposed rule will be placed in the
rulemaking record and will be available for public inspection.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: In the Federal Register of November 30, 1993
(58 FR 63134), EPA proposed certain amendments to the CAIR. In the
proposed amendments, a 60-day comment period was provided for. In
response to requests by interested parties, EPA is extending the
comment period by 45 days. Comments must be received by March 17, 1994.
