    Advisory Committee on the Readjustment of Veterans, Notice of 
    Meeting
    
        The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) gives notice under Public 
    Law 92-463 that a meeting of the Advisory Committee on the Readjustment 
    of Veterans will be held March 11 and 12, 1999. The meeting on both 
    days will be held at the American Legion, Washington Office, 1608 K 
    Street, NW, Washington, DC. The agenda on both days will commence at 
    8:30 a.m. and adjourn at 4:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to 
    review VA and other relevant services important for veterans' post-war 
    readjustment, and to formulate and draft the Committee's annual report 
    to Congress.
        The agenda for both days will primarily focus on drafting the 
    Committee's third annual report to Congress. For this purpose, the 
    Committee will review the provision and coordination of programs in 
    Veterans Health Administration (VHA) and Veterans Benefits 
    Administration (VBA). Pertinent programs include the Readjustment 
    Counseling Service Vet Centers, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) 
    and substance abuse programs in VA medical facilities, and compensation 
    issues related to PTSD claims for service connection. The Committee 
    will also review access to care issues related to high risk veteran 
    groups such as minority, women, disabled and high combat exposed 
    veterans.
