RTCA; Certification Task Force

    Pursuant to section 10(a)(2) of the Federal Advisory Committee Act 
(Pub. L. 92-463, 5 U.S.C., Appendix 2), notice is hereby given that a 
plenary meeting of the RTCA Certification Task Force will be held 
February 26, 1999, starting at 10:00 a.m., at RTCA, Inc., 1140 
Connecticut Avenue, NW., Suite 1020, Washington, DC.
    The task force has been reviewing the ``end-to-end'' certification 
of CNS (Communication, Navigation, Surveillance)/Air Traffic Management 
(ATM) systems and, keeping safety as a first priority, developing 
recommendations for improving the timeliness and reducing the costs of 
certification. This meeting will confirm consensus for the 
recommendations developed by the task force.
    Attendance is open to the interested public but limited to space 
availability. With the approval of the Designated Federal Official, 
members of the public may present oral statements at the meeting.
