    SUMMARY:

    The FAA invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) revision of a current information collection. The Federal Register Notice with a 60-day comment period soliciting comments on the following collection of information was published on October 31, 2008, vol. 73, no. 212, page 65004. This collection is necessary in order to determine applicants' qualifications for certification as an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME).

    SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

    Title: Aviation Medical Examiner Program.

    Type of Request: Extension without change of a currently approved collection.

    OMB Control Number: 2120-0604.

    Form(s): FAA Form 8520-2.

    Affected Public: An estimated 450 respondents.

    Frequency: This information is collected on occasion.

    Estimated Average Burden per Response: Approximately 30 minutes per response.

    Estimated Annual Burden Hours: An estimated 225 hours annually.

    Abstract: This collection is necessary in order to determine applicants' qualifications for certification as an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME).
