    SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

On December 7, 2010, in document DA 10-2318, Chairman Julius Genachowski announced the establishment and appointment of members and Co-Chairpersons of the EAAC, an advisory committee required by the Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act (CVAA), Public Law 111-260, which directs that an advisory committee be established for the purpose of achieving equal access to emergency services by individuals with disabilities as part of our nation's migration to a national Internet protocol-enabled emergency network, also known as the next generation 9-1-1 system (NG 9-1-1). The purpose of the EAAC is to determine the most effective and efficient technologies and methods by which to enable access to NG 9-1-1 emergency services by individuals with disabilities. In 2011, the EAAC conducted a nationwide survey of individuals with disabilities, prepared a report on the survey, and developed recommendations for achieving equal access to emergency services by individuals with disabilities as part of our nation's migration to the NG 9-1-1 system. The EAAC recommendations were submitted to the FCC, in compliance with the CVAA's statutory mandate, by December 7, 2011.
