Regulation of Fuels and Fuel Additives: Standards for Deposit
Control Gasoline Additives
AGENCY: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
ACTION: Reopening of comment period.

SUMMARY: Section 211(l) of the Clean Air Act requires the Environmental
Protection Agency to establish specifications for deposit control
detergent additives. On November 22, 1993, the Environmental Protection
Agency issued a notice of proposed rulemaking for standards for deposit
control detergent additives. On October 15, 1994, EPA promulgated a
final regulation (published in the Federal Register on November 1, 1994
(59 FR 54678)), with an interim program for detergent additives, which
will be replaced by a full certification detergent program in a
subsequent action.
On December 28, 1994 (59 FR 66860), EPA issued a supplemental
notice reopening the comment period for the final detergent additive
certification program and requesting comment on issues related to the
final detergent additive certification program. This document extends
the public comment period for the supplemental notice.
DATES: The comment period for the supplemental notice will be extended
from the original closing date of January 27, 1995 to February 21,
1995.
