    of Filing
    
    February 6, 1998.
        Take notice that on January 26, 1998, PJM Interconnection, L.L.C. 
    (PJM), as directed by Ordering Paragraph (M) of the Commission's order 
    in Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Maryland, et al., 81 FERC para. 61,257 
    (1997), tendered for filing (1) an explanation of the way in which the 
    PJM Tariff provisions regarding ancillary services have been 
    implemented, (2) revisions to the PJM Tariff to clearly and 
    specifically set forth the rates, terms, and conditions for ancillary 
    services, and (3) an explanation of deviations from the Commission's 
    pro forma tariff provisions.
        PJM requests an effective date of April 1, 1998, for the revised 
    ancillary services schedules.
        Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
    file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
    Regulatory Commission, 888

    First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, in accordance with Rules 
    211 and 214 of the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure (18 CFR 
    385.211 and 18 CFR 385.214). All such motions or protests should be 
    filed on or before February 20, 1998. Protests will be considered by 
    the Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but 
    will not serve to make protestants parties to the proceeding. Any 
    person wishing to become a party must file a motion to intervene. 
    Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and are available 
    for public inspection.
