DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY
[Docket No. RP94-130-000]
Colorado Interstate Gas Co.; Proposed Changes in FERC Gas Tariff
February 14, 1994.
Take notice that on February 8, 1994, Colorado Interstate Gas
Company (CIG), tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff,
First Revised Volume No. 1, Substitute Original Sheet No. 369A.
CIG states that it has submitted Substitute Original Sheet No. 369A
to correct CIG's filing of December 20, 1993, in Docket No. RP94-85-
000. CIG's December 20, 1993, filing was made to implement, consistent
with the procedures set forth in the Commission's Order No. 528 series
of orders, recovery of Buyout-Buydown costs that CIG had incurred as a
result of settlement and litigation of producer and supplier claims.
However, CIG has since discovered that its December 20, 1993, filing
improperly included certain costs and improperly excluded other costs.
To correct its December 20, 1993, filing, CIG has reduced the total
Buyout-Buydown costs sought to be recovered in Docket No. RP94-85-000
by $202,564, bringing those total costs to $5,883,371. The
jurisdictional portion of the corrected costs is $5,858,237. Consistent
with CIG's proposal to absorb 50 percent of the jurisdictional portion
of these costs, CIG now proposes to recover $2,929,119 from its
affected jurisdictional firm sales customers.
CIG has requested that the Commission accept this filing, to become
effective January 20, 1994, the date the Commission accepted the
original tariff sheets in Docket No. RP94-85-000.
CIG states that copies of the filing were served upon all of its
affected firm sales customers, interested State Commissions, and the
Service List in Docket No. RP94-85-000.
Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission, 825 North Capitol Street, NE., Washington, DC
20426, in accordance with Sections 385.214 and 385.211 of the
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such motions or protests should
be filed on or before February 18, 1994. Protests will be considered by
the Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken but
will not serve to make protestants parties to the proceeding. Any
person wishing to become a party must file a motion to intervene.
Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and are available
for public inspection in the public reference room.
Lois D. Cashell,
Secretary.
