ACTION: Notice of public meetings.

SUMMARY: Pursuant to the Federal Advisory Committee Act (Pub. L. No.
92-463), notice is hereby given of meetings of the Committee on
Governmental Processes and the Committee on Regulation of the
Administrative Conference of the United States.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Committee on Governmental Processes will
meet to continue discussion of a study by Arnold Leibowitz on the
Immigration and Naturalization Service, the Customs Service, and other
agencies' asset forfeiture, remission and mitigation procedures.
The Committee on Regulation will meet to continue its discussion of
proposed recommendations on federal agency use of audited self-
certification as a regulatory technique. The Conference's consultant
for this project is Professor Douglas Michael of the University of
Kentucky.
Attendance at the meetings is open to the interested public, but
limited to the space available. Persons wishing to attend should notify
the Office of the Chairman at least one day in advance. The chairman of
each committee, if he deems it appropriate, may permit members of the
public to present oral statements at the meeting. Any member of the
public may file a written statement with the committee before, during,
or after the meeting. Minutes of each meeting will be available on
request.
