    requirements and an effective date of February 1, 1998, for the Service 
    Agreement. LILCO has served copies of the filing on the New York State 
    Public Service Commission and on the Transmission Customer.

        On February 2, 1998 Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) filed 
    Service Agreements with the City of Gainesville, Florida, Columbia 
    Power Marketing Corporation and the City of Tallahassee, Florida for 
    service pursuant to Tariff No. 1 for Sales of Power and Energy by 
    Florida Power & Light. In addition, FPL filed a Service Agreement with 
    the City of Tallahassee, Florida for service pursuant to FPL's Market 
    Based Rates Tariff. FPL requests that the Service Agreements be made 
    effective on January 15, 1998.
        Comment date: February 24, 1998, in accordance with Standard 
    Paragraph E at the end of this notice.
    
    40. Washington Water Power Company
    
    [Docket No. ER98-1700-000]
    
        Take notice that on February 2, 1998, Washington Water Power 
    Company tendered for filing Agreements regarding Canadian Entitlement 
    between Washington Water Power and Public Utility District No. 1 of 
    Chelan County and Public Utility District No. 2 of Grant County.
        A copy of this filing was served upon Chelan and Grant.
        Comment date: February 24, 1998, in accordance with Standard 
    Paragraph E at the end of this notice.

    motions or protests should be filed on or before the comment date. 
    Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the 
    appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants 
    parties to the proceeding. Any person wishing to become a party must 
    file a motion to intervene. Copies of these filings are on file with 
    the Commission and are available for public inspection.
