Minimum Internal Control Standards
AGENCY: National Indian Gaming commission.
ACTION: Final Rule; Correction.

SUMMARY: The National Indian Gaming Commission published the Final Rule
on Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) on January 5, 1999. The
compliance dates stated in the preamble under ``Dates'' were incorrect.
This publication is to correct the mistakes.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Final Rule on Minimum Internal Control
Standards, published on January 5, 1999, in Part III of the Federal
Register, should be corrected as follows. On page

590 in the first column, the paragraphs under ``Dates'' should be:
Effective Date: February 4, 1999.
Compliance Date: Tribal MICS must be developed by August 4, 1999.
Gaming operations operating on or before March 31, 1999, must be in
full compliance no later than February 4, 2000. Gaming operations which
commence operation after March 31, 1999, must be in full compliance
prior to commencement of operations.
