Notice Pursuant to the National Cooperative Research and 
Production Act of 1993; Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company

    Notice is hereby given that, on August 1, 1995, pursuant to Section 
6(a) of the National Cooperative Research and Production Act of 1993, 
15 U.S.C. 4301 et seq. (``the Act''), Minnesota Mining and 
Manufacturing Company (``3M'') has filed a written notification 
simultaneously with the Attorney General and the Federal Trade 
Commission disclosing (1) the identities of the parties to a joint 
research and development venture and (2) the nature and objective of 
the venture. The notification was filed for the purpose of invoking the 
Act's provisions limiting the recovery of antitrust plaintiffs to 
actual damages under specified circumstances. Pursuant to Section 6(b) 
of the Act, the identities of the parties are: Minnesota Mining and 
Manufacturing Company, St. Paul, MN; Rockwell International 
Corporation, Thousand Oaks, CA; SRI International, Menlo Park, CA. The 
objective of the venture is to perform a research program with the goal 
of development of continuous, fiber-reinforced, mullite matrix 
composites.
