El Paso Natural Gas Company; Notice of Tariff Filing

February 13 1998.
    Take notice that on February 9, 1998, El Paso Natural Gas Company 
(El Paso) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, the 
following tariff sheets to become effective February 1, 1998:

Second Revised Volume No. 1-A

Thirteenth Revised Sheet No. 20
Seventeenth Revised Sheet No. 24
Thirteenth Revised Sheet No. 27
Fifth Revised Sheet No. 29

Third Revised Volume No. 2

Thirty-sixth Revised Sheet No. 1-D.3
    El Paso states that the tendered tariff sheets implement the pro 
forma fuel charge provisions that were recently approved by the 
Commission in this proceeding.
    Any person desiring to protest said filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., 
Washington, D.C. 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests should be filed 
in accordance with Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. 
Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the 
appropriate action to be taken but will not serve to make protestants 
parties to the proceeding. Copies of this filing are on file with the 
Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public 
Reference Room.
