AGENCY: Federal Communications Commission.
ACTION: Proposed rule.

SUMMARY: The Commission requests comments on a petition by Vixon Valley
Broadcasting proposing the allotment of Channel 272A to Randolph, Utah,
as the community's first local aural transmission service. Channel 272A
can be allotted to Randolph in compliance with the Commission's minimum
distance separation requirements without the imposition of a site
restriction. The coordinates for Channel 272A at Randolph are 41-39-54
and 111-11-12.
DATES: Comments must be filed on or before April 7, 1997, and reply
comments on or before April 22, 1997.

Notice of Proposed Rule Making, MM Docket No. 97-58, adopted February

Provisions of the Regulatory Flexibility Act of 1980 do not apply
to this proceeding.
