Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council; Meeting
AGENCY: National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Commerce.
ACTION: Notice of public meetings.

SUMMARY: The Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council and its Demersal
Species Committee (in conjunction with the Atlantic States Marine
Fisheries Commission's (ASMFC) Summer Flounder, Scup, and Black Sea
Bass Board), Habitat Committee, Large Pelagic Committee, and
Enforcement Committee will hold public meetings on March 8-10, 1994, at
Gurney's Inn, Old Montauk Highway, Montauk, NY; telephone: (516) 668-
2345. On March 8, the Demersal Committee and the ASMFC Board will begin
their meeting at 1 p.m. On March 9, meetings will begin at 8 a.m. and
continue until 5 p.m. On March 10, the meeting will begin at 8 a.m. and
continue until noon.
The following topics will be discussed:
1. Summer flounder recreational management measures for 1994,
2. Scup and black sea bass management alternatives,
3. Tuna management,
4. Swordfish scoping, and
5. Enforcement workshop.
The Council meeting may be lengthened or shortened based on the
progress of the meeting. The Council may go into closed session to
discuss personnel or national security matters.
The meeting is physically accessible to people with disabilities.
Requests for sign language interpretation or other auxiliary aids
should be directed to Joanna Davis at least 5 days prior to the meeting
date.
