    AGENCY: Interstate Commerce Commission.
    
    ACTION: Notice of exemption.

    SUMMARY: The Commission exempts from the prior approval requirements of 
    49 U.S.C. 10903-04 the Huron and Eastern Railway Company, Inc.'s 
    abandonment of a 9.81-mile segment of rail line, from milepost 8.69 
    near Ruth, to milepost 18.5, at Harbor Beach, in Huron County, MI.
    
    DATES: The exemption will be effective on March 24, 1995, unless a 
    formal expression of intent to file an offer of financial assistance is 
    filed. Formal expressions of intent to file an offer of financial 
    assistance under 49 CFR 1152.27(c)(2)1 must be filed by March 6, 
    1995; petitions to stay must be filed by March 9, 1995; requests for 
    public use condition must be filed by March 14, 1995; and petitions to 
    reopen must be filed by March 20, 1995.
