Olympic Provincial Interagency Executive Committee (PIEC),
Advisory Committee
AGENCY: Forest Service, USDA.
ACTION: Notice of meeting.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
SUMMARY: The Olympic PIEC Advisory Committee will meet on March 18 and
19, 1999 at the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribal Center, 1033 Old Blyn
Highway, Sequim, Washington. The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. on
Thursday which will be spent in the field on the Quilcene Ranger
District, Olympic National Forest. The field trip will conclude
approximately 4:00 p.m. On Friday the 19th, the meeting will be held in
the Center's large conference room and will begin at 9:30 a.m. and
continue until 3:00 p.m. Agenda topics are: (1) Forestry Training
Center proposal update; (2) National Marine Fisheries Service update on
Endangered Species Act listings of fish; (3) Regional Ecosystem Office
update, survey and manage; (4) Effectiveness monitoring update; (5)
Recreation opportunities on decommissioned roads; (6) Science Panel on
Monitoring/Coarse Woody Debris guidelines; (7) Open Forum; and (8)
Public Comments. All Olympic Province Advisory Committee Meetings are
open to the public. Interested citizens are encouraged to attend.
