The Department of Defense has submitted to OMB for clearance the
following proposal for collection of information under the provisions
of the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35).
Title, Applicable Form, and Applicable OMB Control Number:
Repatriation Automated Accounting and Reporting System, DD Form 2585,
0704-0334.
Type of Request: Extension.
Number of Respondents: 5,000.
Responses per Respondent: One.
Annual Responses: 5,000.
Average Burden Per Response: 20 minutes.
Annual Burden Hours: 1,667.
Needs and Uses: This information collection provides evacuee
information necessary to account for any military or civilian,
regardless of nationality, evacuated from any country to the United
States. The information obtained from the DD Form 2585, which is
associated with this collection, is entered into an automated system
and a series of reports are generated and made available to the
Department of Defense, Federal and State agencies, as required.
Affected Public: Individuals or households, State or local
governments, Federal agencies or employees.
Frequency: On occasion.
Respondent's Obligation; Required to obtain or retain a benefit.
