Reef Gear Manufacturing, Incorporated, Plant II, Marine City, 
Michigan; Notice of Affirmative Determination Regarding Application for 
Reconsideration

    By letter of January 16, 1998, the company requested administrative 
reconsideration of the Department of Labor's Notice of Certification 
Regarding Eligibility to Apply for Worker Adjustment Assistance for 
workers of the subject firm. The certification was signed on December 
10, 1997, and published in the Federal Register on January 6, 1998 (63 
FR 578).
    The company presents evidence that merits the Department's 
reinvestigation of the certification.

Conclusion

    After careful review of the application, I concluded that the claim 
is of sufficient weight to justify reconsideration of the Department of 
Labor's prior decision. The application is, therefore, granted.
