Proposed Identification of Dangerous Levels of Lead; Public 
Meeting

AGENCY: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

ACTION: Notice of meeting.

SUMMARY: EPA's Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics will hold a 
meeting to discuss its strategy for developing health-based standards 
for lead in paint, dust, and soil. Section 403 of the Residential Lead-
Based Paint Hazard Reduction Act of 1992 directed the Agency to among 
other things promulgate a regulation which shall identify lead-based 
paint hazards, lead contaminated dust, and lead-contaminated soil. The 
purpose of the meeting is to review the agency's regulatory approach 
and the findings of recent analytical and research efforts and obtain 
feedback from technical experts and stakeholders.
DATES: The meeting will take place on March 3, 1994 from 10 a.m. to 3 
p.m.
