Tuna Rebuilding Workshop

AGENCY: National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), National Oceanic and 
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Commerce.

ACTION: Notice of public meeting.

SUMMARY: The Advisory Committee to the U.S. Section to the 
International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas 
announces a bluefin tuna rebuilding workshop.

DATES: The workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, March 10, 1998, 8:00 a.m. 
to 5:30 p.m.

ADDRESSES: The workshop will be held at the Clarion Hotel in Charlotte, 
North Carolina.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The workshop has the following objectives: 
(1) To evaluate and review current stock assessment knowledge for 
bluefin tuna; (2) to discuss items/issues to be considered relative to 
establishing a rebuilding program for bluefin tuna; (3) to consider a 
matrix of rebuilding scenarios; (4) to discuss additional rebuilding 
scenario alternatives, and (5) to make recommendations.

    The meeting locations are physically accessible to people with

auxiliary aids should be directed to Jonathon Krieger at [phone]
