    The Department of Treasury has submitted the following public

    Special Request: In order to conduct the survey described below in 
early March 1996, the Department of Treasury is requesting Office of

    Title: Performance Development System Customer Satisfaction Survey.
    Description: The survey will be used to determine, before the 
targeted development/training experiences and Performance Development 
System (PDS) process are made available on a nationwide basis, whether 
they have a positive effect on the level of taxpayer satisfaction. The 
results of the survey will be used to evaluate the PDS process in 
decisions regarding its nationwide roll-out.
    Respondents: Individuals or households.
    Estimated Number of Respondents: 17,300.
    Estimated Burden Hours Per Respondent: 2 minutes, 15 seconds.
    Frequency of Response: Other.
    Estimated Total Reporting Burden: 649 hours.
