North Pacific Fishery Management Council; Committee Meeting

AGENCY: National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), National Oceanic and 
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Commerce.

ACTION: Notice of public meeting.

SUMMARY: The North Pacific Fishery Management Council's (Council) newly 
appointed Improved Retention/Improved Utilization Committee (Committee) 
will hold their first meeting February 27-28, 1996.

DATES: The meeting will be held on February 27-28, 1996, beginning at 
9:00 a.m. on February 27, and concluding by 5:00 p.m. on February 28.

ADDRESSES: The meeting will be held at the Alaska Fisheries Science 
Center, 7600 Sand Point Way NE., Seattle, WA, Room 2079, Building 4.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Committee will review proposed measures 
to improve retention and utilization in the groundfish fisheries and 
discuss implementation aspects of the measures. The Committee is 
scheduled to provide recommendations to the Council in April.
