East Tennessee Natural Gas Company; Notice of Proposed Changes in 
FERC Gas Tariff

February 20, 1997.
    Take notice that on February 14, 1997, East Tennessee Natural Gas 
Company (East Tennessee), tendered for filing to become part of its 
FERC Gas Tariff, Fifth Revised Volume 1, the following revised tariff 
sheet, to be effective on March 1, 1997:

Tenth Revised Sheet No. 4

    East Tennessee is filing the proposed tariff sheet pursuant to its 
Rate Schedule LMS-MA, which requires East Tennessee to reflect its 
Daily Demand Service (DDS) rate changes in the DDS rates of its 
upstream transporter, Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company (Tennessee).
    Any person desiring to be heard or to protest this filing should 
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, 
in accordance with 18 CFR Sections 385.211 and 385.214 of the 
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such motions or protests must 
be filed in accordance with Section 154.210 of the Commission's 
Regulations. Protests will be considered by the Commission in 
determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to 
make protestants parties to this proceeding. Any person wishing to 
become a party must file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing 
are on file with the Commission and available for public inspection in 
the Public Reference Room.
