Agenda and Notice of Public Meeting of the North Carolina 
Advisory Committee

    Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the rules and 
regulations of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, that a meeting of 
the North Carolina Advisory Committee to the Commission will convene at 
12:00 p.m. and adjourn at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 1996, at 
the North Carolina Mutual Insurance Company, 411 West Chapel Hill 
Street, Durham, North Carolina 27701. The purpose of the meeting is to 
review a draft report on racial tensions in North Carolina, discuss 
civil rights progress and/or problems in the State, and plan for the 
next project.
    Persons desiring additional information, or planning a presentation 
to the Committee, should contact Committee Chairperson Asa Spaulding, 
Jr., 919-233-7612 or Bobby D. Doctor, Director of the Southern Regional 
Office, 404-730-2476 (TDD 404-730-2481). Hearing-impaired persons who 
will attend the meeting and require the services of a sign language 
interpreter should contact the Regional Office at least five (5) 
working days before the scheduled date of the meeting.
    The meeting will be conducted pursuant to the provisions of the 
rules and regulations of the Commission.
