Water Conservation Plan Guidelines Subcommittee Meeting

AGENCY: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: On March 17-18, 1998, the Water Conservation Plan Guidelines 
Subcommittee of the Local Government Advisory Committee will hold a 
meeting in Washington, D.C. Section 1455 of the Safe Drinking Water 
Act, as amended, requires EPA to publish guidelines for water 
conservation plans for three size ranges of public water systems. The 
Subcommittee will discuss EPA's draft water conservation plan 
guidelines for public water systems, including the section of the draft 
guidelines which provides information to States on implementation of 
the guidelines. States may require water systems to submit a water 
conservation plan consistent with EPA's guidelines as a condition of 
receiving a loan from a State Drinking Water Loan Fund. The 
Subcommittee meeting is open and all interested persons are invited to 
attend on a space-available basis. Members of the public interested in 
attending the Subcommittee meeting should call the Designated Federal 
Official to reserve space.

DATES: The Subcommittee meeting will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 
p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 1998, and from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon on 
Wednesday, March 18, 1998.
