    Background

The Department has received timely requests, in accordance with 19
CFR 351.213(b)(1997), for administrative reviews of various antidumping
and countervailing duty orders and findings with January anniversary
dates. The Department also received timely requests to revoke in part
the antidumping duty orders on certain cut-to-length carbon steel plate
and corrosion-resistant carbon steel plate from Canada, and elemental
sulphur from Canada. The request for revocation in part with respect to
certain cut-to-length carbon steel plate and corrosion-resistant carbon
steel plate from Canada was inadvertently omitted from initiation
notice (62 FR 50292, September 25, 1997), and the request for
revocation in part with respect to elemental sulphur from Canada was
inadvertently omitted from the previous initiation notice (63 FR 3702,
    January 26, 1998).

    Initiation of Review

In accordance with section 19 CFR 351.221(c)(1)(i), we are
initiating administrative reviews of the following antidumping and
countervailing duty orders and findings. We intend to issue the final
results of these reviews not later than January 31, 1999.
