Western Water Policy Review Advisory Commission Meeting

AGENCY: Department of the Interior.

ACTION: Notice of open meeting.

SUMMARY: As required by the Federal Advisory Committee Act, notice is 
hereby given that the Western Water Policy Review Advisory Commission 
(Commission), established by the Secretary of the Interior under the 
Reclamation Projects Authorization and Adjustment Act of 1992, will 
hold a public water issues forum, ``Indian Water 1997: Trends and 
Directions in Federal Water Policy'' and business meeting. The purpose 
of this meeting is for the Commission to receive American Indian 
community testimony regarding water issues impacting American Indians 
in the 19 Western States and to meet on other Commission business.

DATES: Monday, March 17, 1997, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; Tuesday, March 18, 
1997, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Phoenix, Arizona. Copies of the agenda are available from the Western 
Water Policy Review Office, D-5001; P.O. Box 25007; Denver, CO 80225-

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The seminar is being organized and hosted by 
the American Indian Resources Institute of Oakland, California. Room 
locations will be posted in the hotel lobby.

Public Participation

    Seating for observers will be limited and reservations are strongly 
recommended. Seating may be reserved by contacting the Commission 
Office. Written statements may be provided in advance to the Western 
Water Policy Review Office, address cited under the ADDRESSES caption 
of this notice, or submitted directly at the meeting. Statements will 
be provided to the members prior to the meeting if received by no later 
than March 7, 1997. The Commission's schedule will not allow time for 
formal presentations by the public during the meeting.
