Program: Soils/Sediments/Sludges'', has filed written notifications
simultaneously with the Attorney General and the Federal Trade
Commission disclosing (1) the identities of the parties and (2) the
nature and objectives of the venture. The notifications were filed for
the purpose of invoking the Act's provisions limiting the recovery of
antitrust plaintiffs to actual damages under specified circumstances.
Pursuant to Section 6(b) of the Act, the identities of the parties are:
Amoco Exploration & Production Technology Group, Tulsa, OK; Chevron
Research and Technology Co., Richmond, CA; Phillips Petroleum Company,
Bartlesville, OK; and Texaco Inc., Bellaire, TX. The general area of
planned activity is to develop, apply and transfer technology and
information which will assist in cost-effective management of soils,
sediments and sludges in Exploration and Production Operations.
Participation in this venture will remain open to any and all
interested parties until the date upon which work on the program has
been completed and a final written report summarizing each of the
projects has been provided to the participants. This is anticipated to
occur approximately twenty-four (24) months after the Project
commences. The participants intend to file additional written
