Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company; Notice of Technical Conference

January 28, 1998.
    The above referenced dockets relate to Tennessee Gas Pipeline 
Company's (Tennessee) Annual Cashout Reports. Parties have filed 
comments raising concerns with the reports. In order to resolve the 
issues in these proceedings, the Commission Staff is convening a 
Technical Conference among the interested parties.
    Take notice that the conference will be held on Thursday, February 
26, 1998, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in a room to be designated at the 
offices of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, 
NE., Washington, DC 20426.
    Tennessee and interested parties should be prepared to discuss in 
detail the cashout reports and address the specific concerns raised by 
the parties in these proceedings. Such discussion should address what 
elements of system inventory should be utilized in the calculation of 
the cashout reports and

provide support for the specific levels included in the reports. In 
addition, Tennessee should be prepared to explain the reasons for the 
delay in filing its reports and the basis for the out-of-period 
adjustments to its 1994 and 1995 reports.
