FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION
47 CFR Part 73
[MM Docket No. 99-8, RM-9433]
Radio Broadcasting Services; Mt. Washington, NH
AGENCY: Federal Communications Commission.
ACTION: Proposed rule.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
SUMMARY: The Commission requests comments on a petition filed by Dan
Puopolo, to allot Channel 247A to Mt. Washington, NH, as the
community's second local aural transmission service. Channel 247A can
be allotted to Mt. Washington in compliance with the Commission's
minimum distance separation requirements without the imposition of a
site restriction, with respect to all domestic allotments, at
coordinates 44-16-13 NL; 78-18-13. Use of these coordinates does not
negate the short-spacing to the proposed allotment of Channel 247C1 at
Thetford-Mines, Quebec, Canada. Concurrence in the allotment of Channel
247A at Mt. Washington will be requested as a specially negotiated
short-spaced allotment since Mt. Washington is located within 320
kilometers (200 miles) of the U.S.-Canadian border.

comments on or before March 30, 1999.
