• Enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and
• Minimize the burden of the collection of information on those who are to respond, including through the use of appropriate automated, electronic, mechanical, or other technological collection techniques or other forms of information technology, e.g., permitting electronic submission of responses.

Description: Quarterly data on Trade Adjustment Assistance activity is needed for timely program evaluation, for competent administration, and for providing legally mandated reports to Congress. Section 231(c) of the Trade Act of 1974 as amended by the Trade Adjustment Assistance Reform Act of 2002, requires the states to submit reports to the Secretary on training waivers issued and revoked.
