Amendment to Notice of Major Disaster Declarations
AGENCY: Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: This notice amends the notices of specified major disasters
for the listed states, and related determinations.
EFFECTIVE DATE: February 6, 1998.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This notice is issued pursuant to the
Federal Register Notice dated October 10, 1997, which allows the States
to use a one-time effort to apply HMGP eligibility criteria statewide
for all disasters declared before April 7, 1997. The notices for the
indicated major disasters in the specified States are hereby amended to
include among those areas determined to be eligible for HMGP: the
counties and parishes on the list following this notice, ``Retroactive
Statewide Use of Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Funds''.
