ACTION:
Notice of proposed information collection renewal and comment request.
SUMMARY:
The FDIC, as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, invites the general public and other Federal agencies to take this opportunity, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (4 U.S.S. chapter 35), to comment on renewal of its information collection entitled, “Forms Related to Processing Deposit Insurance Claims” (OMB No. 3064-0143).
DATES:
Comments must be submitted on or before April 8, 2013.

The information provided allows the FDIC to identify the actual owners of an account and each owner's interest in the account.
Request for Comment
Comments are invited on: (a) Whether these collections of information are necessary for the proper performance of the FDIC's functions, including whether the information has practical utility; (b) the accuracy of the estimate of the burden of the information collection, including the validity of the methodology and assumptions used; (c) ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and (d) ways to minimize the burden of the information collection on respondents, including through the use of automated collection techniques or other forms of information technology. All comments will become a matter of public record.
