    Travel and Tourism Advisory Board; Board Meeting
    
        Pursuant to Section 10(a)(2) of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, 
    5, U.S.C. (App. 1976) notice is hereby given that the Travel and 
    Tourism Advisory Board of the U.S. Department of Commerce will hold its 
    Winter Meeting on February 16 and 17, 1994, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in 
    Chicago, Illinois. The meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency 
    Chicago, 151 E. Wacker Drive.
        On February 16, the Board will conduct a public forum to assist the 
    Tourism Policy Council in its effort to create a comprehensive tourism 
    development strategy for the Federal government. Members advise the 
    Secretary of Commerce on matters pertinent to the Department's 
    responsibilities to accomplish the purpose of the National Tourism 
    Policy Act (Pub. L. 97-63), and provide guidance to the Under Secretary 
    for Travel and Tourism.

        A number of seats will be available to observers form the public 
    and press. To assure adequate seating, individuals intending to attend 
    should notify the Committee Control Officer in advance. The public will 
    be permitted to file written statements with the Committee before or 
    after the meeting.
