Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation; Notice of Proposed Changes
in FERC Gas Tariff
March 4, 1998.
Take notice that on February 27, 1998, Columbia Gas Transmission
Corporation (Columbia), tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas
Tariff, Second Revised Volume No. 1, the following revised tariff
sheets with a proposed effective date of April 1, 1998:
Twenty-sixth Revised Sheet No. 25
Twenty-sixth Revised Sheet No. 26
Twenty-sixth Revised Sheet No. 27
Twenty-sixth Revised Sheet No. 28
Fifteenth Revised sheet No. 30
Tenth Revised Sheet No. 31
Columbia states that the derivation of the proposed rates for the
EPCA Rates is shown on Appendix A, attached to the filing, and is to
recover $5,169,087 in annual costs for electric power and to flow-back
a $949,352 over-recovery in electric power costs applicable to the EPCA
surcharge.
Columbia states that these revised tariff sheets are filed pursuant
to Section 45, Electric Power Costs Adjustments (EPCA), of the General
Terms and Conditions (GTC) of Columbia's FERC Gas Tariff, Second
Revised Volume No. 1. Columbia states that Section 45.2 provides that
Columbia may file, to be effective each April 1, to adjust its electric
power costs, thereby allowing for the recovery of current EPCA costs
and the EPCA surcharge.
Columbia states that these revised tariff sheets are being filed to
reflect adjustments to Columbia's current costs for electric power for
the twelve-month period beginning April 1, 1998.
Columbia states that copies of its filing have been mailed to all
firm customers, interruptible customers, and affected state
commissions.
Any person desiring to be heard or to protest this filing should
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426,
in accordance with Sections 385.214 and 385.211 of the Commission's
Rules and Regulations. All such motions or protests must be filed as
provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests
will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate
action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to
the proceeding.

Any person wishing to become a party must file a motion to intervene.
Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and are available
for public inspection in the Public Reference Room.
