Submission for OMB Review; Comment Request Entitled Scope and
Duration of Contract
AGENCIES: Department of Defense (DOD), General Services Administration
(GSA), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
ACTION: Notice of request for an extension to an existing OMB clearance
(9000-0122).

SUMMARY: Under the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995
(44 U.S.C. Chapter 35), the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
Secretariat has submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB)
a request to review and approve an extension of a currently approved
information collection requirement concerning Scope and Duration of
Contract. A request for public comments was published at 63 FR 1093,
January 8, 1998. No comments were received.
DATES: Comments may be submitted on or before April 13, 1998.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:
A. Purpose
The FAR clause at 52.241-3 requires the utility to furnish the
Government with a complete set of rates, terms and conditions, and any
subsequently approved rates.

B. Annual Reporting Burden
Public reporting burden for this collection of information is
estimated to average .25 hours per response, including the time for
reviewing instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and
maintaining the data needed, and completing and reviewing the
collection of information.
The annual reporting burden is estimated as follows: Respondents,
1,000; responses per respondent, 5; total annual responses, 5,000;
preparation hours per response, .25; and total response burden hours,
1,250.
C. Annual Recordkeeping Burden
The annual recordkeeping burden is estimated as follows:
Recordkeepers, 1,000; hours per recordkeeper, 1; and total
recordkeeping burden hours, 1,000.
