    Take notice that the following hydroelectric application has been filed with the Commission and is available for public inspection:

    a. Type of Proceeding: Amendment of License.

    b. Project No.: 2225-021.

    c. Date Filed: January 30, 2017.

    d. Licensee: Public Utility District No. 1 of Pend Oreille County, Washington.

    e. Name of Project: Sullivan Lake Storage Project.

    f. Location: The project is located on Sullivan Creek near the town of Metaline Falls, Pend Oreille County, Washington. The project occupies federal lands administered by the U.S. Forest Service within the Colville National Forest.

    g. Filed Pursuant to: Federal Power Act, 16 U.S.C. 791a-825r.

Description of Request: The licensee proposes to change its method for removing Mill Pond Dam that was approved by the Commission in its Order Accepting Surrender of License and Authorizing Disposition of Project Facilities issued March 20, 2013 (142 FERC ¶ 62,232). Instead of removing the dam by siphoning water out of Mill Pond and building a cofferdam licensee is proposing to demolish the dam without building a cofferdam to promote sediment outflow and facilitate sediment transport to the downstream reaches of Sullivan Creek.
