    SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

    Background

The Department of Commerce has received a request to conduct an
administrative review of the antidumping duty order on certain
internal-combustion, industrial forklift trucks from Japan. On August
16, 1995, the Department initiated this administrative review covering
the period June 1, 1994, through May 31, 1995. The Department adjusted
the time limits by 28 days due to the government shutdowns, which
lasted from November 14, 1995, to November 20, 1995, and from December
15, 1995, to January 6, 1996. See Memorandum to the file from Susan G.
Esserman, Assistant Secretary for Import Administration, January 11,
1996. As adjusted, the current time limits are March 29, 1996, for the
preliminary results and July 27, 1996, for the final results.
It is not practicable to complete this review within the time
limits mandated by section 751 (a) (3) (A) of the Act. Therefore, in
accordance with that section, the Department is extending the time
limits for the preliminary results to July 27, 1996, and for the final
    results to January 23, 1997.

    the Act.

        Dated: March 7, 1996.
