AGENCY: Federal Communications Commission.
ACTION: Proposed rule.

SUMMARY: This document requests comments on a petition filed by Jane
Lafler proposing the allotment of Channel 279A to Hubbardston,
Michigan, as that community's first local FM broadcast service. There
is a site restriction 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) west of the community at
coordinates 43-05-53 and 84-51-54. Canadian concurrence will be
requested for this allotment.
DATES: Comments must be filed on or before April 28, 1997, and reply
comments on or before May 13, 1997.

of Proposed Rule Making, MM Docket No. 97-87, adopted February 26,

Provisions of the Regulatory Flexibility Act of l980 do not apply
to this proceeding.

Proposed Rule Making is issued until the matter is no longer subject to
Commission consideration or court review, all ex parte contacts are
