Foreign Donation of Agricultural Commodities
AGENCY: Commodity Credit Corporation, USDA.
ACTION: Proposed rule; extension of comment period.

SUMMARY: This document extends the comment period relating to a
proposed rule that would establish regulations governing the donation
of agricultural commodities by Commodity Credit Corporation for
distribution in foreign countries pursuant to Section 416(b) of the
Agriculture Act of 1949, or the Food for Progress Act of 1985.
DATES: Consideration will be given to written comments submitted on or
before April 15, 1994.

Independence Ave., SW., room 4079-S, Washington, DC 20250-1000.
SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: On February 14, 1994, we published in the
Federal Register (59 FR 6916) a proposed rule to establish regulations
governing the donation of agricultural commodities by the Commodity
Credit Corporation for distribution in foreign countries pursuant to
section 416(b) of the Agricultural Act of 1949, or the Food for
Progress Act of 1985.
Comments on the proposed rule were required to be submitted by
March 16, 1994. However, in response to requests received, we are
extending this comment period to April 15, 1994. This extension will
allow interested persons additional time in which to prepare comments
on the proposed rule.
