    Advisory Council on Employee Welfare and Pension Benefits Plan; 
    Notice of Meeting
    
        Pursuant to the authority contained in Section 512 of the Employee 
    Retirement Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), 29 U.S.C. 1142, a public 
    meeting of the Working Group on Healthcare Reform of the Advisory 
    Council on Employee Welfare and Pension Benefit Plans will be held from 
    9:30 a.m. until 12 noon, Thursday, April 7, 1994, in suite N-3437 AB, 
    U.S. Department of Labor Building, Third and Constitution Avenue NW., 
    Washington, DC 20210.
        This work group was formed by the Advisory Council to study issues 
    relating to healthcare reform for employee benefit plans covered by 
    ERISA.
        The purpose of the April 7 meeting is to receive testimony from 
    interested persons on the impact of proposed federal healthcare reform 
    legislation on self-insured, ERISA-covered employee welfare benefit 
    plans as well as participating employees and their families. The work 
    group will also take testimony and or submissions from employee 
    representatives, employer representatives and other interested 
    individuals and groups regarding the subject matter.
        Individuals or representatives of organizations wishing to address 
    the work group should submit a written request on or before April 4, 
    1994 to William E. Morrow, Executive Secretary, ERISA Advisory Council, 
    U.S. Department of Labor, suite N-5677, 200 Constitution Avenue, NW., 
    Washington, DC 20210. Oral presentations will be limited to ten (10) 
    minutes, but witnesses may submit an extended statement for the record.
        Organizations or individuals may also submit statements for the 
    record without testifying. Twenty (20) copies of such statement should 
    be sent to the Executive Secretary of the Advisory Council at the above 
    address. Papers will be accepted and included in the record of the 
    meeting if received on or before April 4, 1994.
