    Limits for Antidumping Duty Administration Review
    
    AGENCY: Import Administration, International Trade Administration, 
    Department of Commerce.
    
    ACTION: Notice of extension of time limit.

    SUMMARY: The Department of Commerce (the Department) is extending the 
    time limit for the preliminary results of the 1996-1997 administrative 
    review of the antidumping duty order on cut-to-length carbon steel 
    plate from Mexico. The review covers one manufacturer/exporter of the 
    subject merchandise to the United States, Altos Hornos de Mexico, S.A. 
    de C.V. (AHMSA), and the period August 1, 1996 through July 31, 1997.
    
    EFFECTIVE DATE: March 18, 1998.

    SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:
        Because it is not practicable to complete this review within the 
    time limits mandated by section 751(a)(3)(A) of the Tariff Act of 1930, 
    as amended (the Act), the Department is extending the time limit for 
    completion of the preliminary results until August 31, 1998. See 
    Memorandum from Joseph A. Spetrini to Robert S. LaRussa, on file in 
    Room B-099 of the Main Commerce Building. The deadline for the final 
    results of this review will continue to be 120 days after publication 
    of the preliminary results.
        This extension is in accordance with section 751(a)(3)(A) of the 
    Act.
