Budget for Review Under the Paperwork Reduction Act

    The proposal for the collection of information listed below has 
been submitted to the Office of Management and Budget for approval 
under the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. Chapter

Title: Training, Examination, and Certification of Blasters
OMB Number: 1029-0080
Abstract: Sections 515(b)(15)(D) and 719 of Pub. L. 95-87 require that 
all blasting operations be conducted by trained and competent persons 
as certified by the regulatory authority. The regulations provide for 
the training, examination, and certification of persons engaging in 
blasting or the use of explosives in surface coal mining operations. 
The information collected is used to determine the adequacy of State 
blasting programs
